Thu, 13 Jul 2006 16:44:44 -0700

Mike Preston, of the Baltimore Sun, reports free agent P Sean Landeta (Eagles) is not ready to retire from the NFL just yet. "I wish I could change the age on my birth certificate from 44 to 24," punter Sean Landeta said. "If I could, I would have a four-year contract because it would be based on my numbers, not my age." It's understandable why some NFL teams don't want Landeta, but he would be a perfect fit for a veteran team looking to make a serious playoff run. If he doesn't get another shot, Landeta won't be bitter.

Player started wearing the "one-bar" when he joined the league in 1998 and doesn't apologize for his taste in equipment. "I got into a bad habit (with other mask styles) of holding the ball too high and it affected by kicks," Player said.
