Kansas City Chiefs assistant coach Bill Muir has decided to retire from coaching. The team relieved Muir from his offensive coordinator duties but wanted him to be the offensive line coach.

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Todd Haley said Monday, Sept. 26, that offensive coordinator Bill Muir remains the team's play caller on game day, shrugging off the suggestion that Haley took on a greater role in the second half of Week 3. "During the game, Bill Muir is our game-caller, and (Sunday) I thought he did a tremendous job of sticking with the plan," Haley said. The Chiefs managed only 34 yards and had zero first downs at halftime, but they racked up 218 yards and 17 points in the second half.

Updating a previous report, the Kansas City Chiefs hired Bill Muir Thursday, Feb. 3, as their offensive coordinator, reports The Associated Press. Muir previously served as the team's offensive line coach.

The Kansas City Chiefs will name offensive line coach Bill Muir as their new offensive coordinator, a source told Chris Mortensen, of ESPN. Muir will keep some of his offensive line coaching duties.

Ira Kaufman, of the Tampa Tribune, reports Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive line coach Bill Muir was asked if any starter's position up front was set in stone. Muir said, "No. N.O. Absolutely not." Muir added, "No depth charts have been handed out, and we expect excellent competition in training camp. If you have a job and you want to keep a job, you've got someone breathing down your neck."

Ira Kaufmann, of the Tampa Tribune, reports Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive line coach Bill Muir was in Los Angeles for USC's Pro Day Sunday, April 2. He viewed a jaw-dropping workout by OT Winston Justice. If the Buccaneers have any hopes of drafting Winston, they will have to trade up from their No. 23 slot in April's NFL Draft.
