D. Orlando Ledbetter, of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, reports Atlanta Falcons OT Quinn Ojinnaka has shown a nasty streak early in camp. Head coach Jim Mora said, "Quinn is fighting his tail off. You know what he's got? He's got a nasty streak." When discussing one of Ojinnaka's battles with LB Ike Reese, Mora said, "(Ojinnaka) knocked (Reese) down, and he went to gore him. I like that. He's a nasty sucker, and you like that in your players."

AtlantaFalcons.com reports Atlanta Falcons LB Ike Reese (arm) left the team's Week 10 game after a punt return in the first quarter with what appeared to be a left arm injury. He was attended to on the sidelines by trainers and eventually returned to the game in the second quarter.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution's Sam Wyche reports Atlanta Falcons LB Ike Reese impressed the team with his dominant play at WLB and his job on nickel- and dime- pass coverages Friday, Aug. 19. "He was out there playing with a bunch of pups and you could really tell the difference between the professional and rookie," head coach Jim Mora Jr. said of Reese. "That sucker is tough, hard-nosed. He is a pro through and through. He put some licks on some people. He's passionate. He loves to play. I love having him wearing our uniform rather than that green thing we had to see back in late January."

AtlantaFalcons.com reports Atlanta Falcons LB Ike Reese says the team is working well as a cohesive unit and looks well prepared and motivated for the 2005 season. "All these guys are excited about the accomplishments they achieved last year by making it to the title game, but they're still thirsty, they're still hungry and you can see it in their every day workouts and by the participation, I would say, by at least 80, 85 percent -- maybe 90 percent -- of the players," Reese said. "That's a great indication of how much dedication is being put into this coming season. Guys aren't just resting on their laurels as far as what they did last year."

Steve Wyche, of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, reports Atlanta Falcons LB Demorrio Williams had an impressive showing during the team's offseason workouts and practices. He looks a little light to play outside linebacker as he's weighed in between 225 and 230 pounds, but the team is no longer concerned about his ability to shed blockers. LB Ike Reese will challenge for the starting job, but Williams has created a buzz.

"I think that he did a great job for us as far as a leadership role and in nickel situations. But, it's time to move on and we'll have some middle linebacker that will take his place."

Updating a previous report, Les Bowen, of the Philadelphia Inquirer, reports free agent LB Ike Reese (Eagles) denied that he is close to reaching a contract agreement with the Atlanta Falcons, but does intend to schedule a visit. "I'm trying to get a visit there set up for some time this week," Reese said of visiting Atlanta.
