I'm focused only on football," Brazell says. "I've played football since little league. I played track and football, but football is my heart." Bengals receivers coach Hue Jackson said he has been impressed with Brazell's receiving skills, not just his speed. "He can double-move. He can sink his hips. He has all the characteristics of a receiver. Obviously that's why we drafted him, and he really confirmed that in this camp."

Gil Brandt, of NFL.com, reports Louisiana State WR Bennie Brazell measured a height of 6-0 3/8 and a weight of 176 pounds at his Pro Day. He ran the 40-yard dash with times of 4.42 seconds and 4.46 seconds while finishing the short shuttle in 4.21 seconds and the three-cone drill in 6.80 seconds. He measured a 35 1/2-inch vertical jump and a 10-foot-11 broad jump.
