Minnesota Vikings OG Charlie Johnson said playing the guard position is easier than tackle. Johnson is moving to left guard after the selection of OT Matt Kalil in the NFL Draft. "A lot of times in pass protection as a guard, you can try to funnel a guy back inside toward the center because the center might be uncovered," Johnson said. "He may be free and looking to help where help is needed. That's the biggest change. You can get more help instead of being out on an island."

There is a chance the Minnesota Vikings move OT Charlie Johnson to guard next season. There are some within the organization that feel he is best suited for that position. "Obviously the team is going to do what they feel is best for the team. My opinion, I'm not going to sit here and say another guy is needed or anything," Johnson said Monday, Jan. 2. "I feel like the group that we have now can get the job done."
