Former Chicago Bears WR Sam Hurd had his bond revoked Tuesday, Aug. 28. A Texas judge ordered him to jail as he awaits a federal drug trial. Hurd was arrested earlier this month in San Antonio after failing two drug tests, in May and July, and testing positive for marijuana on a $100,000 cash bond.

Chicago Bears WR Roy Williams said he is upset and disappointed over WR Sam Hurd's arrest on federal drug charges. "This is just very shocking to me," Williams said. "And I'm kind of pissed off at him, too, because it's a really selfish act. He has let us down in the wide receiver group, in which we were so close. He let down the wide receivers coach, the head coach, the Bears organization and the city. But that's my boy, too."

Chicago Bears WR Sam Hurd, who was arrested on federal drug charges, was a top drug dealer in Chicago and police have a list of NFL players who were supplied drugs by the receiver, according to a law enforcement source. The list is "in the double-digits," according to the source.

Chicago Bears WR Sam Hurd was arrested late Wednesday, Dec. 14, in Chicago on federal charges out of Dallas, authorities said. According to authorities, Hurd allegedly attempted to purchase drugs from a supplier in North Texas, which is where the case will be adjudicated. The local office of Immigration and Customs Enforcement is handling the investigation, authorities said.
