Kevin Seifert, of the Minneapolis Star Tribune, reports the Minnesota Vikings have been assigned OT Seppo Evwaraye as part of the NFL's International Development Practice Squad Program. Evwaraye is a native of Finland and will remain on the Vikings' practice squad for the entire season.

Darin Gantt, of the Rock Hill Herald, reports the Carolina Panthers have not waived rookie free agent OL Seppo Evwaraye (Nebraska), in fact, they never actually signed him. He agreed to a three-year deal with a $7,500 signing bonus, but won't collect until he obtains a work visa. The visa issues have prevented him from actually signing his contract with the team.

Darin Gantt, of the Rock Hill Herald, reports undrafted rookie free agent OL Seppo Evwaraye missed the team's minicamp because he was unable to clear up his work visa. Evwaraye came from Finland as an exchange student and went to Nebraska, but never filed for work papers with the government since he did not work his four years at the school. He has not officially signed his contract with the team due to the hang-up, but hopes to have everything resolved before the team's summer sessions which begin May 31.

Gil Brandt, of NFL.com, reports Nebraska OT Seppo Evwaraye measured a height of 6-4 3/4 and a weight of 319 pounds at his Pro Day. He ran the 40-yard dash with times of 5.06 seconds and 5.03 seconds and finished the short shuttle in 4.68 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.68 seconds. He measured a 27 1/2-inch vertical jump while completing 24 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press.
