The Associated Press reports Philadelphia Eagles rookie RB Correll Buckhalter said he won't make the same mistake twice when it comes to his off-the-field incident. He was close to losing his job last week after he was in a vehicle in which drugs were found. The rookie said coach Andy Reid "laid the law down pretty good." Buckhalter said his teammates have helped him and DB Darrel Crutchfield get past what happened.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie said that he was satisfied with head coach Andy Reid's handling of the situation with the three suspended players; RB Correll Buckhalter, S Terrence Carroll and CB Darrel Crutchfield. "These are young kids who made a mistake," Lurie said. Reid said the incident didn't have an impact on his team's mental preparation for yesterday's game and he will handle any further discipline "internally".

As an update to previous reports, Dave Spadaro reports for PhiladelphiaEagles.com that the Philadelphia Eagles have suspended the 3 players involved in last night's incident for the Cowboys game. The team isn't discussing the players involved, but as reported earlier the three players are indicated to be RB Correll Buckhalter, S Terrence Carroll and CB Darrel Crutchfield. Head coach Andy Reid said the team is aware of the problem involving three first-year players and they will not make the trip with the team. Reid said the rest of the situation would be handled internally.

Adam Caplan, of the Pro Football News and Injury Report, has informed KFFL that the Philadelphia Eagles players arrested yesterday were: RB Correll Buckhalter, DB Darrel Crutchfield and DB Terrence Carroll. Buckhalter and Crutchfield were both released from custody while Carroll will be charged with possession of marijuana.
