SS Anthony Dorsett (leg), who started at free safety in Week 13 against the Denver Broncos, would get the start at that position again against Pittsburgh in Gibson's absence. Updating previous reports, Oakland Raiders SS Derrick Gibson (neck) underwent a CAT scan and x-rays Monday, Nov. 24, on his injured neck and both were negative. The injury was determined to be a bruise and Gibson was up and walking by Monday afternoon. If Gibson is unable to play in Week 13, SS Anthony Dorsett will replace him.

Steve Corkran, of the Contra Costa Times, reports Oakland Raiders backup SS Anthony Dorsett (ankle, leg) still is recovering from left ankle and leg injuries he sustained against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, Sept. 7. Dorsett said he received an MRI on his left knee and ankle but had not learned of the results as of the afternoon of Wednesday, Sept. 10. His status for the Sunday, Sept. 14 game against the Cincinnati Bengals is questionable. "I definitely feel like I'll be able to do something (Sunday)," Dorsett said. "To what degree, I'm not sure."

Updating previous reports, the San Jose Mercury News reports Oakland Raiders S Anthony Dorsett had his arraignment postponed Wednesday on a marijuana-possession charge. The hearing was postponed until Feb. 5. He was cited with carrying less than an ounce of marijuana, which carries a maximum fine of $100.

FB Jon Ritchie has a groin strain, LB Elijah Alexander injured his left knee, RB Randy Jordan and CB Charles Woodson sustained turf toes, and DE Tony Bryant has a left hip bruise. ''This is about as injury-riddled as I've seen this team,'' said coach Jon Gruden. Starting S Anthony Dorsett (sprained left knee) will undergo an MRI today. Starting G Steve Wisniewski sprained his left ankle, but he's likely to start on Sunday. Woodson was fitted for a boot and his practice time will be limited this week.

"I don't know what that is, honestly, but we do expect Mo to be able to practice and play," coach Jon Gruden said. Reserve S Derrick Gibson, who broke a bone in his left hand, is expected to play Sunday night at Indianapolis. Robertson, who was involved in an automobile accident this week, did not make the trip for this weekend's game. CBS Sportsline is reporting that Tennessee Titans S Marcus Robertson needed 150 stitches to close facial cuts from a motorcycle accident Monday night. Robertson lost control of his motorcycle and lost his helmet on impact. Head coach Jeff Fisher confirmed that he received "numerous abrasions to his face" and may need additional surgery. He is expected to miss Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Anthony Dorsett will most likely replace Robertson in the line up.

Paul Kuharsky reports in the Tennessean that Titans coach Jeff Fisher said that there is no truth to the speculation that his team is looking to sign either RB Dave Meggett or RB Lawrence Phillips. The team has set a precedent of wanting players without off the field issues and appears they want to keep it that way. The team is satisfied with current backup RB Rodney Thomas and barring an injury like the one that affected him for most of 1998, he should be the primary backup this year as well. If rookie Darran Hall of Colorado St. can't get the job done as punt returner the team may turn to Anthony Dorsett or they may look at a Free Agent like Roell Preston or Latario Rachal.
