The Canadian Press reports the Toronto Argonauts have signed unrestricted free-agent SS Anthony Dorsett (Raiders). Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Raiders | Team Utilizes Multiple Safety Formation

The Oakland Raiders utilized the so-called "Giant formation'' with three safeties Derrick Gibson, Anthony Dorsett and Nnamdi Asomugha when the Baltimore Ravens were in "22 personel'' (two tight ends, two running backs) during the Sunday, Dec. 14, game.

Oakland Raiders SS Derrick Gibson (neck) has been listed as questionable for Sunday's, Dec. 7, game against the Pittsburgh Steelers with a neck injury. If he is healthy enough to start at strong safety, then SS Anthony Dorsett would move to free safety and CB Nnamdi Asomugha would likely return to his natural position after playing FS last weekend.

Oakland Raiders SS Derrick Gibson (neck) could be inactive for Sunday's, Dec. 7, game against the Pittsburgh Steelers because of a neck injury. SS Anthony Dorsett (leg), who started at free safety in Week 13 against the Denver Broncos, would get the start at that position again against Pittsburgh in Gibson's absence. CB Nnamdi Asomugha, who made his first start of the season at strong safety against the Broncos after moving over from cornerback, would likely remain at saftey against the Steelers.

Oakland Raiders SS Anthony Dorsett (leg) practiced Wednesday, Nov. 26, and is probable for the Sunday, Nov. 30, game against the Denver Broncos. Dorsett will start at either the free safety or strong safety position on Sunday.

Raiders | Gibson's CAT Scan and X-Rays Negative

Updating previous reports, Oakland Raiders SS Derrick Gibson (neck) underwent a CAT scan and x-rays Monday, Nov. 24, on his injured neck and both were negative. The injury was determined to be a bruise and Gibson was up and walking by Monday afternoon. If Gibson is unable to play in Week 13, SS Anthony Dorsett will replace him.

Oakland Raiders SS Derrick Gibson (shoulder) returned to practice Thursday, Oct. 9, after missing workouts the previous day with soreness in his shoulder. Gibson remains questionable for the Raiders game Sunday, Oct. 12, against the Cleveland Browns. If Gibson is unable to play against the Browns SS Anthony Dorsett will start.
