Former MLB OF Elijah Dukes (Nationals) was arrested early Thursday, Feb. 23, after he tried to eat a plastic bag of marijuana and had marijuana blunt tucked behind his ear, police said. Dukes was pulled over after he committed an undisclosed traffic violation. He faces charges of tampering with physical evidence, possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a cancelled, suspended or revoked license. He was also being held on two Hillsborough County warrants for driving with a suspended knowledge and operating with a suspended or revoked driver's license. His bail was set at $4,750.

Free-agent OF Elijah Dukes (Nationals) was arrested over the weekend and has been charged in Florida with driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license. Hillsborough County Jail records show he was released Sunday, April 24, on a $250 bond.

Free-agent OF Elijah Dukes (Nationals) was arrested and accused of aggravated battery on a pregnant female at a motel, the Tampa Tribune's Howard Altman reports. During a fight over money, Dukes slapped a 20-year-old pregnant woman he lives with in the left cheek and the back of her head, an arrest report states.

Former major league OF Elijah Dukes says he was blackballed by Major League Baseball after he came forward last year with allegations that fellow ball players were smuggling drugs onto chartered aircraft, using drugs in hotel rooms after flights and how he would sometimes smoke marijuana before home games when he played for the Washington Nationals, reports Howard Altman, of The Tampa Tribune.

Updating previous reports, Nationals.MLB.com's Bill Ladson reports Washington Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo said the league adjusted to OF Elijah Dukes, but he didn't adjust to the league very well. He had serious trouble hitting breaking balls.
