The Los Angeles Dodgers optioned 2B Justin Sellers and RP Shawn Tolleson to Triple-A Albuquerque Tuesday, March 19, and reassigned C Jesus Flores to minor league camp.

Washington Nationals SPs John Lannan and Tom Gorzelanny, as well as C Jesus Flores, were non-tendered Friday, Nov. 30, when all three were not offered contracts. The move makes each player a free agent.

The Washington Nationals could trade OF Mike Morse if the team re-signs 1B Adam LaRoche. A baseball source also left open the possibility of moving 3B Ryan Zimmerman to first base and giving 3B Anthony Rendon a chance to start at third. C Jesus Flores is unlikely to return next season, and the team is looking to trade him before arbitration. OF Tyler Moore has also received trade interest.

Washington Nationals C Jesus Flores (back) is out of the lineup for the second straight day Monday, July 23, and he didn't even take batting practice Sunday, July 22. C Sandy Leon is taking his place in the lineup. Flores was feeling better Monday and hopes to return soon.

Washington Nationals C Jhonatan Solano (oblique) is dealing with an oblique strain that will land him on the disabled list as early as Wednesday, July 18. C Sandy Leon is likely to replace him on the roster and will fill the backup role to C Jesus Flores. Leon is hitting .311 in 40 games with Double-A Harrisburg. Flores' batting average has dropped to .229, and he's in a 3-for-29 slump.
