The Associated Press reports San Francisco 49ers RB Frank Gore rushed for a team-record 212 yards during the Week 11 game on 24 carries. Gore topped former 49ers RB Charlie Garner's record of 201 yards. Gore also caught four passes for 26 yards in the game, but he was unable to score any touchdowns as the 49ers upset the Seattle Seahawks 20-14.

Bill Williamson, of the Denver Post, reports free agent RB Charlie Garner (Buccaneers) may attempt a comeback in 2006 and he has contacted the Denver Broncos about coming there. "Charlie loves Mike Shanahan and wants to be a Bronco," agent Brian Levy said. "He'd be a great third-down back there."

Rick Stroud, of the St. Petersburg Times, reports Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Charlie Garner (knee) is likely to start the season on the physically unable to perform list if he isn't released injured. "He's progressing. He's now into some figure eights and things of that nature," general manager Bruce Allen said. "I don't know (when he'll be back). It's too early. He's working hard at it. He's not going to be activated next week, I know, so that's going to be the third preseason game."
