Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said he has spent extensive time with head coach Jason Garrett evaluating the coaching staff. The team has already let go defensive coordinator Rob Ryan and running backs coach Skip Peete. "We spend a certain amount of time between now and training camp," Jones said. "We have spent time, ad nauseam, certainly you spent that kind of time from a management standpoint. You spend that type of time with your coach and your coaches, anytime you might be looking at staff changes and you have to spend a lot of time with your head coach regarding that for sure."

The Dallas Cowboys have several assistant coaches without a contract for 2012, and head coach Jason Garrett is hopeful they'll be able to return. Secondary coach Dave Campo, Running game/offensive line coach Hudson Houck, Secondary/safeties coach Brett Maxie, assistant offensive line coach Wesley Phillips, offensive quality control/wide receivers coach Keith O'Quinn and running backs coach Skip Peete are the coaches who are without a deal. "I feel great about our staff and how we've worked really hard, and again, we'll address that at a later time," Garrett said Monday, Jan. 2.
