Arizona Cardinals quarterbacks coach Freddie Kitchens (heart) returned to team headquarters Thursday, June 13, nine days following life-saving surgery to repair an aorta dissection. The Cardinals are hoping Kitchens can return to coaching in at least a limited capacity during training camp.

Mac Engel, of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, reports the Arizona Cardinals have hired Freddie Kitchens to their coaching staff. Kitchens spent last season as the tight ends coach of the Dallas Cowboys. Kitchens' role with the Cardinals has not been disclosed yet.
