Chris Brown, of BuffaloBills.com, reports Buffalo Bills tight ends coach Charlie Coiner said blocking is the top priority for the Bills' group of tight ends. Coiner used the St. Louis Rams' offense as an example, as Bills offensive coordinator Steve Fairchild previously served as the Rams' offensive coordinator before joining Buffalo. "I expect the tight ends to be tough," said Coiner. "I look at the St. Louis offense, an offense that has been very successful, and I watched what the tight ends did there. The first thing I see is that they are very versatile, meaning they are good in the run game and pass protection."

Allen Wilson, of the Buffalo News, reports Buffalo Bills TE Brad Cieslak is currently the second-string tight end. He stayed in Buffalo during the offseason working hard to hone his skills. "He's been everything that we thought he would be, and maybe a little bit more," said Buffalo Bills tight ends coach Charlie Coiner. "He's still a young guy who needs to make a lot of strides and we haven't put on pads yet, either. But we're excited about him."
