Nichols, of The Detroit News, reports Detroit Lions assistant coach Joe Cullen faces a Feb. 13 sentencing after reaching a plea agreement Thursday, Jan. 11, for two incidents alleging he drove drunk and nude. Cullen pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and driving while impaired. Cullen faces 90 hays in jail and a $500 fine on the disorderly conduct charge and 93 days in jail and a $300 fine for driving while impaired. He could also have his driver's license suspended for 90 days by the Secretary of State.

Jim Schaefer, of the Detroit Free Press, reports Detroit Lions assistant Joe Cullen is expected in court Thursday, Jan. 11, where his case could end in a plea deal. Cullen is charged with indecency and driving while intoxicated. He was arrested twice in about one week before the start of the 2006 NFL season. Both charges against Cullen are misdemeanors.

Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will now start reserving the right to suspend assistant coaches and possibly other team officials who get arrested for off-field indiscretions. Goodell suspended Detroit Lions defensive line coach Joe Cullen for Week 16 after he was arrested for pulling into a Wendy's without any pants on while intoxicated. During a recent tour of the NFL, Goodell told team that everyone, including coaches and team officials, should look at the right to be part of the NFL a privilege.

Mike O'Hara, of the Detroit News, reports Detroit Lions AC Joe Cullen was suspended by the NFL for "conduct detrimental to the league", citing two alcohol-related driving incidents prior to this season. Cullen is not able to help prepare for or coach in the team's Week 16 game. He was also fined $20,000 for his conduct.

The Lions suspended Cullen for the first game of the season against the Seattle Seahawks. He has continued coaching with the team since. Cullen's cases have been adjourned to Feb. 6, where Judge William Hultgren will likely accept an unspecified plea agreement if Cullen stays out of trouble.

He will not need to appear in district court in Dearborn, Mich., next week. Cullen is scheduled to appear Oct. 10 for a pretrial hearing on the charges.

Cotsonika, of the Detroit Free Press, reports Detroit Lions defensive line coach Joe Cullen pulled his SUV up to a drive-thru window at Wendy's and placed an order in the nude Aug. 24. The worker took down Cullen's license plate number and told Dearborn officer that "the suspect did nothing obscene, other than being naked at the drive-thru." Wendy's manager Jethro Lett was working the second drive-thru window and said, "The cashier alerted me. 'A guy coming to your window is naked!'" He asked Cullen to pull over to wait for his food and brought his order out five minutes later. "He didn't say a word. I said, 'Here you go with your food, sir.'" It is unknown why Cullen was driving naked or if he will face additional discipline from the team or the league.

Cotsonika, of the Detroit Free Press, reports the Detroit Lions have suspended defensive line coach Joe Cullen for Sunday's regular-season opener, Sept. 10, against the Seattle Seahawks because of his two recent arrests, NFL sources said Thursday, Sept. 7. Lions head coach Rod Marinelli reportedly told the team at a team meeting earlier today. "I'm not going to talk about Joe right now," Marinelli said. "It's an in-house decision what we're dealing with. The team knows, I know, and that's what's important." Cullen was arrested and charged with indecent and obscene conduct Aug. 24, the night before the Lions' third preseason game at Oakland. Then Cullen was arrested and charged with drunken driving Sept. 1, the night after the Lions' preseason finale against Buffalo.

FOXSports.com reports Detroit Lions defensive line coach Joe Cullen has been arrested twice in the past two weeks, according to the Detroit Free Press. Cullen was arrested on Aug. 24 for alleged indecent and obscene conduct. His second arrest occurred Sept. 1 for an alleged drunk driving incident. The police ticket read "driving on a public street without any clothes on. (NUDE)," in the nude-driving incident. His blood-alcohol level was reportedly a 0.12 in the drunk-driving incident. Cullen issued a statement through the team, which read: "I would like to apologize to the Detroit Lions organization, our fans, my family and friends for any embarrassment these incidents have caused. These incidents represent a mistake in judgment on my part. I deeply regret them and have learned a valuable lesson. It won't happen again."
