The New York Jets hired Louie Aguiar to coach special teams, Steve Hagen to coach tight ends, Ron Heller to be the assistant offensive line coach, Pierre Ngo to be the assistant strength and conditioning coach and Jeff Weeks as the assistant defensive line and linebackers coach Tuesday, Feb. 5. Mike Devlin has been named offensive line coach.

Updating a previous report, New York Jets tight ends coach Mike Devlin will take over the offensive line coaching duties next season. Devlin will take over for Dave DuGuglielmo, who was let go Thursday, Jan. 24.

New York Jets assistant offensive line coach Mike Devlin received interest from teams for offensive line coaching positions, but the Jets denied permission for teams to interview Devlin, reports Rich Cimini, of ESPNNewYork.com.

Eric Allen, of NewYorkJets.com, reports New York Jets TE Dustin Keller said he got more comfortable with the offense during last season and believes he will play better in the offense this season. "I became more comfortable with the offense as the year progressed. I worked on blocking with [tight ends coach Mike Devlin] on hand placement and footwork and things should get better from here on out," Keller said

NewYorkJets.com reports the New York Jets named Mike Devlin as the team's tight ends and assistant offensive line coach Wednesday, Feb. 20. Devlin was an assistant offensive line coach with the Jets in 2007.

Updating previous reports, Randy Lange, of the Bergen Record, reports New York Jets assistant coach Mike Devlin resigned as Toledo's offensive line coach to take a position with New York. Contrary to previous reports, it is unclear what role he will specialize in with the Jets. He could be in line to work as a tight ends coach or as an assistant to offensive line coach Tony Wise.

CSTV.com reports the New York Jets have hired Toledo line coach Mike Devlin to be their new offensive line coach. He had been the assistant offensive line coach for the Arizona Cardinals before joining the Toledo staff in 2004.
