John Ryan reports for the Mercury News Oakland Raiders backup OT Darryl Ashmore (quad) will now miss the entire 2002 season after he underwent surgery Wednesday for a torn left quadriceps.

The Sacramento Bee reports Oakland Raiders backup OT Darryl Ashmore was injured at practice Tuesday. Ashmore walked off the field, but he had an MRI exam in the afternoon (results unavailable) and estimated that "it could be a two-week thing, or it could be longer."

John Ryan reports for the San Jose Mercury News Oakland Raiders starting RT Lincoln Kennedy (shoulder) missed practice again today. The team is moving ahead with plans to start Darryl Ashmore on Sunday. CB Charles Woodson did some work on punt returns and some individual drills, coach Jon Gruden said, but he did not practice.

Steve Corkran reports for the Contra Costa Times Oakland Raiders LT Lincoln Kennedy (shoulder) missed practice today. He is the starter most in doubt of playing Sunday against the Denver Broncos. Darryl Ashmore replaced Kennedy last Sunday. OT Barry Sims (foot), G Mo Collins (leg) and CB Charles Woodson (toe) also did not practice. Collins is OUT for Sunday, coach Jon Gruden said. Sims and Woodson are expected to play. PK Sebastian Janikowski (groin) and DE Regan Upshaw (right quadriceps) practiced and are expected to play Sunday. Gruden said he intends to use Woodson and WR Tim Brown again on punt returns.

Dave Williams reports for the Press Democrat Oakland Raiders OT Lincoln Kennedy did not finish Sunday's game because of a shoulder injury. He had to leave the game in the fourth quarter. Kennedy said his shoulder is OK and he expects to be in the lineup for next Monday night's game with the Denver Broncos. Darryl Ashmore took over for Kennedy after he left.

Raiders | Skrepenak Official

The Raiders have made the OL Greg Skrepenak signing official. Skrepenak was the Raiders second-round pick in 1992 and will likely be the new starter at right guard to replace Derrick Graham and Darryl Ashmore who are expected to play elsewhere next season. No terms are available at this time.
