Thu, 16 May 2013 09:45:10 -0700 Minnesota Vikings WR Cordarrelle Patterson will be given an opportunity to earn a starting wide receiver spot across from WR Greg Jennings this year, according to head coach Leslie Frazier. WR Joe Webb will be insurance in case Patterson doesn't pan out. Fantasy Tip: It's tough to predict Patterson's fantasy value heading into his rookie season. Aside from Greg Jennings, Christian Ponder doesn't have much to work with at wideout, and Kyle Rudolph will remain a big target in the passing game. Patterson is a bit of a project and will have to improve his route-running skills dramatically to make an impact immediately. Consider him a late-round flier in deep leagues.
Mon, 18 Mar 2013 10:57:18 -0700 Minnesota Vikings QB Christian Ponder said he would like to see WR Greg Jennings travel to Arizona to get some work in during the offseason.
Sun, 17 Mar 2013 13:22:38 -0700 Contrary to a previous report, the New England Patriots did not make an offer to Minnesota Vikings WR Greg Jennings this offseason.
Sun, 17 Mar 2013 09:15:35 -0700 The New England Patriots offered Minnesota Vikings WR Greg Jennings a contract worth around $6 million per season but the talks between the two sides did not go far.
Sun, 17 Mar 2013 09:05:01 -0700 The Green Bay Packers made an offer to Minnesota Vikings WR Greg Jennings that averaged about $8 million per season, but he decided to accept the Vikings' contract offer of about $9 million per season.
Fri, 15 Mar 2013 18:08:07 -0700 Minnesota Vikings WR Greg Jennings was cordial when speaking about his new QB Christian Ponder Friday, March 15. "You could see on film (Ponder) didn't have a lot of options to throw to," Jennings said. He said he didn't mean any disrespect. Fantasy Tip: It's a nice idea to be instantly sympatico with your new quarterback, but at the same time the remaining wideouts and tight end targets from last season might not be too keen being called out by their newest teammate. Still, Jennings has to really only make nice with one guy, and he did. He should be a serviceable WR2 in 2013.
Fri, 15 Mar 2013 17:23:55 -0700 Updating a previous report, Minnesota Vikings WR Greg Jennings received a five-year deal with max value of $47.5 million, with $18 million guaranteed.
Fri, 15 Mar 2013 16:17:39 -0700 The Minnesota Vikings agreed to an undisclosed five-year deal with free-agent WR Greg Jennings (Packers). Fantasy Tip: Jennings missed half of last year with a groin injury and saw his production drop thanks to a bevy of receiving options around him in Green Bay. He'll be 30 years old shortly after the 2013 season kicks off, but he'll be the unquestioned No. 1 wideout in Minnesota. Declining production due to age and inconsistent quarterback play in Minny make Jennings more of a No. 2 fantasy WR.
Fri, 15 Mar 2013 09:27:57 -0700 The Green Bay Packers are still in the mix to re-sign free-agent WR Greg Jennings.
Fri, 15 Mar 2013 09:22:56 -0700 Talks between the Minnesota Vikings and the free-agent WR Greg Jennings (Packers) are going well.
