The Colorado Rockies have given RP Edgmer Escalona a spot in the bullpen, leaving RP's Manuel Corpas and Chris Volstad competing for the final relief spot as spring camp winds down.

The Colorado Rockies are inviting 24 non-roster players to spring camp next week, including seven pitchers with Major League Baseball experience. The full list includes P's Tyler Anderson, Miguel Batista, Chad Bettis, Manuel Corpas, Parker Frazier, Daniel Houston, Logan Kensing, Jeff Manship, Mike McClendon, Nicholas Schmidt, Erick Threets and Chris Volstad; OF's Kent Matthes, Corey Dickerson, and Kyle Parker; INF's Nolan Arenado, Tommy Manzella, Matt McBride, Ben Paulsen and Henry Wrigley; and C's Yorvit Torrealba, Gustavo Molina, Lars Davis and Jose Gonzalez.

Updating a previous report, Colorado Rockies RP Manuel Corpas' contract will pay him $800,000 this season if he's in the major leagues and $14,000 a month if he's in the minors. He can also make an additional $200,000 in incentives ($75,000 for appearances, capped at 50 games and $125,000 for innings pitched, capped at 60). Corpas can opt out of his contract and become a free agent in July if he is not on the major league roster.

Chicago Cubs RP Manuel Corpas will make $200,000 in the minor leagues this year and $1 million if he makes the big league roster, $200,000 of which would be guaranteed. He can make an extra $50,000 each for 50 and 55 games, $100,000 each for 60 and 65 games, $100,000 for 35 games finished, $150,000 for 40 games finished, $150,000 for 45 games finished and $200,000 each for 50, 55 and 60 games finished. Corpas can make $175,000 for spending each of 100, 120, 140 and 160 days on the active roster.
