By restructuring the contracts of WR Marques Colston, G Jahri Evans, G Ben Grubbs and LB David Hawthorne, the New Orleans Saints have shaved around $10 million off of their 2013 salary cap. Before the moves, the Saints were roughly $15 million over the 2013 projected salary cap.

The New Orleans Saints have restructured the contract of G Jahri Evans. He converted a portion of his base salary into a signing bonus. The team saved roughly $3 million against this year's cap with the modification of Evans' deal. His base salary was dropped from $7.2 million to $3.04 million. He'll receive $4.2 million up front, but it will be spread over the final four years of his contract. Evans has restructured his contract the past two offseasons.

New Orleans Saints RB Travaris Cadet (shoulder), LB Jonathan Casillas (neck), G Jahri Evans (toe), CB Jabari Greer (groin), DE Turk McBride (ankle) and LB Scott Shanle (illness) all fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 19, and are probable for the team's Week 7 game.
