Cotsonika, of the Detroit Free Press, reports Detroit Lions wide receivers coach Kippy Brown has withdrawn his name from consideration for the head coaching vacancy at Grambling State and will remain with the Lions in 2007. "Being here one year and moving again, it just didn't seem like the thing for us to do right now," Brown said. "I think this is going to be a heck of a situation. I've got a good job. After evaluating the thing, we just decided it would be best to stay here."

Brown said, "To have a chance, keep showing up and working hard. We have to establish a trust and they have to believe in what I tell them and trust that it's the right thing and then go and do it. So show up and work hard – and they're doing it."
