Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen said LB Rolando McClain has to improve in pass coverage. "I think really just in general, I think some of the coverage aspect, are places he needs to work," Allen said. "I think he's done a real good job from a leadership standpoint. I think he's very instinctive. He's smart out there. He's taken command of the huddle. Those things I've been pleased with. Physically, I think as you look at him, I think what he needs to improve on, and he knows this, is a little bit of the pass coverage aspect."

Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen said the team remains confident in QB Terrelle Pryor becoming a pro quarterback despite the addition of QB Matt Leinart. "We're always going to try to make moves to do whatever we feel like is going to make this football team be better. And we've brought another quarterback in to compete," Allen said. "At the end of the day, just like anything else, we're going to have everybody compete and the best players are going to play and that's how we're going to stack the depth chart up." Allen added Pryor has all kinds of talent.

The Raiders have yet to commit to playing primarily a 3-4 or 4-3 scheme this upcoming season. "We haven't decided any of that yet," Allen said, when asked about the 4-3 vs. the 3-4 next season. "We're still going through the process of acquiring talent, looking into who we're going to have on the team next year. Once we get through the draft, we'll have a better feel what we want to do there."
