Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers said the team will be different this season without WRs Greg Jennings and Donald Driver, and CB Charles Woodson on the roster. "Not having those two and a good friend of mine, Charles Woodson, who I played with for a long time just like those guys - that's different," Rodgers said. "So, we're a different football team. Lacking a little in the experience part, but making up for it in the talent and the young guys that we brought in."

Oakland Raiders QB Matt Flynn has the support of Raiders FS Charles Woodson. Both players spent time together with the Green Bay Packers.
"Flynn had a chance to work around a great quarterback in Aaron Rodgers and be able to sit behind him and emulate some of the things Aaron does, without trying to be like Aaron. So he'll bring some experience even though he hasn't had a chance to lead a team," Woodson said. "So I know that the coaches are excited to have him in here and give him that opportunity to lead this team. I just look forward to seeing him grow. He'll have the opportunity to be the guy. At that point, it's what you do with it. Hopefully he'll succeed."
Fantasy Tip: Flynn would be a suspect No. 2 fantasy quarterback and should be drafted more safely as a third in deep leagues.

Oakland Raiders FS Charles Woodson said the only real difference between his first and current stints with the team is not having late team owner Al Davis around.
"Really, the only difference is the big guy [Al Davis] is not here. I think that's really it. Knowing that you're not going to see him coming out onto the field at any point in time this season is really the different feel to this organization. But I know that the organization is in good hands with Mark [Davis] taking over and bringing in Reggie [McKenzie] to come in here and try to get the Raiders back on the right track. In that sense, it feels good and there's definitely a positive feel to it," Woodson said.
"I hadn't talked to Al Davis since I left. One of the things that I look back on that I didn't do when I left is just really have a conversation with him when I left the Raiders. Didn't get a chance to speak with him and I wish I had."

I had a chance to visit with Charles when he was here last week and certainly, that'd be a great addition to our team. I know there is the business side of it that comes into play, but there's no question that any time you can add good football players at any position, I think that's always a good thing."

This is our year and he may give us a (lift).' He still has a little juice in his legs." An unnamed scout added he has concerns whether Woodson is a leader. "To me, he's got another year or two left in the tank, probably in a situational playing capacity as an inside player. I think he could start at safety, but you'd be worried a little bit. Safety is the last line of defense," the scout said. "The more people I talk to, he's a veteran presence, yes. But that leadership element? Maybe not."
