The Providence Journal reports CB Terrell Buckley was indeed amongst the New England Patriots inactive players on Sunday. There has been speculation he was suspended by the team for the game, but there has been no further word from the team on the subject. His spot as an extra cornerback was taken by Terrance Shaw and Leonard Myers. DB Antwan Harris (sprained ankle), OL Adrian Klemm (leg), OL Kenyatta Jones and S T.J. Turner also were inactive along with WR Terry Glenn (hamstring) and rookie DL Richard Seymour (leg).

"Just a hip flexor, I think," said Johnson. CB Ty Law (sore foot) still had trouble during pre-game warmups, so he was held out of the game. The Boston Herald reports the New England Patriots have addressed some issues in the secondary via free agency. They have also had pre-draft visits with several top prospects at CB for this weekend's NFL Draft. At some point the team has to find someone to shore up the corner opposite Ty Law and improve the nickel and dime defenses. Recently signed CB Terrance Shaw is expected to make a strong run for the starting spot opposite Law. As previously reported the team re-signed DL Brandon Mitchell yesterday. It appears he accepted his one-year, $512,000 tender offer. He is rehabbing from a damaged tendon in his right quadriceps. He should be 100 percent for the regular season, but he will be held back some in training camp.
