New York Giants DL Osi Umenyiora did not care for comments made by general manager Jerry Reese, who said Umenyiora has turned down multiple contract extension offers. Umenyiora said Reese's comments overlook the fact that the team's contract offers have been for far less money than he thinks he deserves, and far less than the $10.95 million guaranteed that DL Mathias Kiwanuka just got from the Giants. "Last year I was offered incentives. This year they offered me in guaranteed money, HALF of what they just gave Kiwi guaranteed. HALF," Umenyiora wrote in an email. "I'm not making that up. Then Jerry tells the world they offered me an extension and I turned it down. And I look like a greedy pig for turning it down. Hilarious."

New York Giants DE Mathias Kiwanuka signed to a three-year contract extension that will run through the 2015 season. He is scheduled to make $2.95 million in 2013, $4.375 million in 2014 and $4.775 million in 2015.

New York Giants DL Mathias Kiwanuka said Monday, Jan. 30, that he and his teammates are completely focused and could step onto the field and play Super Bowl XLVI right now. "It was all business," Kiwanuka said of the flight to Indianapolis. "We have been ready to go. We could have lined up and played yesterday if we had to, so everybody is just focused and ready to get the game going."

New York Giants LB Mathias Kiwanuka will play in his hometown of Indianapolis for Super Bowl XLVI against the New England Patriots Sunday, Feb. 5. It is special for more than one reason, as his family, expectant fiancée and brother will be in attendance. His brother Ben was in a near-fatal motorcycle accident in May 2010 when he and Kiwanuka were riding together.
