The most likely candidates are LB David Harris (team-high $13 million cap charge), WR Santonio Holmes ($12.5 million), CB Antonio Cromartie ($10.8 million), OT D'Brickashaw Ferguson ($10.7 million) and DT Sione Pouha ($6.2 million). QB Mark Sanchez ($12.9 million) could also be a candidate; however, it doesn't make sense to push his money into future years, considering his tenuous position on the team.

Cromartie is scheduled to make $16.5 million to just $13.5 million for Revis, which is why the star cornerback is unhappy with his contract situation. There are also four other players - OT D'Brickashaw Ferguson, LB David Harris, WR Santonio Holmes and QB Mark Sanchez - who are also scheduled to make more.

The team converted $9 million of Ferguson's $9.985 million base salary in 2012 to a signing bonus to give the team more cap space, according to a source. The cap value of the converted signing bonus will be spread over the remaining six years of Ferguson's contract. As a result, the Jets will get an additional $7.5 million of cap relief this season.
