Updating a previous report, the New Orleans Saints saved $3.44 million against this year's salary cap with the restructured deal agreed upon by SS Roman Harper Friday, May 24. In 2014, Harper's salary will reduce from $6 million in his previous deal to $2.35 million, with another $800,000 in bonuses. As such, his cap number reduces then, too, from $7.9 million to $5.87 million. His restructured deal also includes an extension into 2015, with his salary set to be $2.7 million, with another $800,000 in bonuses, and a cap figure of $4.47 million.

New Orleans Saints SS Roman Harper said he never received money for hits, or "whacks," despite evidence to the contrary. "I did not get any money for it," Harper said. "I don't understand. A 'whack' is just tackle, it's a legal tackle. And it's just a term we use for a certain tackle. Bennett missed five weeks with a chest injury, and said if the Saints were gunning for him, he's looking for payback. "All I have to say is I hope we play them again," Bennett said.
