Minnesota Vikings LB Chad Greenway said he believes WR Percy Harvin is the best player in the NFL. According to Greenway, Harvin as been the team's MVP so far this season. "Percy's the best player in the NFL right now," Greenway said. "I'd like to see anybody challenge that with the way he's carrying the football and the way he's really driving our team along." Harvin leads the league in receptions with 27.

Minnesota Vikings LB Chad Greenway (personal) missed a majority of the team's organized team activities (OTAs) to be with his ailing father in South Dakota. A league source said Monday, June 18, that Greenway is expected to attend the opening of the team's minicamp starting Tuesday, June 19. The OTAs are voluntary, and the minicamp is considered mandatory, although head coach Leslie Frazier said Greenway's absence would be considered excused.

Minnesota Vikings general manager Rick Spielman said Saturday, Feb. 25, that he has no regrets regarding the contract extension given to LB Chad Greenway last season. "We just didn't play very good overall defensively last year," Spielman said. "But I know Chad - a thousand times you're going to invest that money in a player like Chad Greenway. And he ended up going to the Pro Bowl last year."
