McNeal would likely have been a hot commodity had he come out following his junior season after setting school single-season records for passing and rushing yards by a quarterback. "I don't think it hurt it, but I was disappointed personally because I didn't want to go out injured and not be able to play the last game and then not going to a bowl game," McNeal said. "I felt like it was best I stayed in."
