Chicago Bears WR Brandon Marshall said he is not concerned that he is entering the final year of his contract because, he expects a deal to happen at some point. "I have another year left on my contract. If it happens, it happens, if it doesn't, I'm glad to be a Bear for another year and I'm going to force them to sign me after next year," Marshall said. "One way or another, they're going to get the deal done. But if it comes down to next year, I'll be picketing outside of Halas Hall for a new deal, a new contract, because I'm not going anyplace."

The Chicago Bears may not sign WR Brandon Marshall to a contract extension this offseason even though his current contract runs through the 2014 season. The team does not have a lot of salary cap space and have needs on defense.

Chicago Bears WR Brandon Marshall said WR Alshon Jeffery should be ahead of him in the league's wide receiver rankings after the 2013 season. "We are two different receivers," Marshall said. " ... If I had to build an organization the first receiver I'd pick is myself. I have that much confidence in myself."

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte and WRs Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall each left the Week 16 game against the Philadelphia Eagles early due to the lopsided score on the board. Forte finished with 29 yards on nine carries, and he added four receptions for 25 yards. Jeffery hauled in six receptions for 76 yards, while Marshall ended up with four catches for 36 yards and a touchdown.

Chicago Bears WR Brandon Marshall (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday, Dec. 18, due to soreness in his right hamstring and quadriceps. Head coach Marc Trestman said the move to hold Marshall out was purely precautionary.
Fantasy Tip: Marshall is a top-tier wideout with Jay Cutler back under center. Against the Philadelphia Eagles in a primetime game, Marshall could be big.
