|Jets | Brandon Marshall fitting in |
Thu, 01 Oct 2015 18:32:58 -0700
New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall has been "wonderful" to work with, offensive coordinator Chan Gailey said Thursday, Oct. 1. "He's a pro," Gailey said. "He understands about how to go about working on the practice field. He has good ideas, but he's not hard-headed. He listens to all the things that are going on. He just has a healthy respect for the game and where he is in his career and what he wants to accomplish."
Fantasy Tip: In his first year with the Jets, Marshall ($6,600, 13.2% of cap) has 23 catches for 272 yards and three touchdowns in three games. He has more than filled the role of a go-to receiver, and he should make a strong starting option at FantasyScore in Week 4 against an underachieving Miami Dolphins team.

|Jets | No more laterals for Brandon Marshall|
Mon, 28 Sep 2015 14:58:46 -0700
New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall said he won't be lateraling anymore following a failed attempt in a Week 3 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Head coach Todd Bowles reprimanded Marshall after the game. "He made catches, but he dropped a ball or two and he turned the ball over, so that's not a good game by his standards or our standards," Bowles said.
Fantasy Tip: Fortunately for fantasy owners, Marshall did have a good game when all was said and done. The turnover was costly, but he still caught 10 passes for 109 yards and a touchdown. He should still be viewed as a WR2.

|Jets | Brandon Marshall reaches milestone|
Sun, 27 Sep 2015 18:01:55 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Marshall ($6,300, 12.6% of cap) has scored in all three games this year and has topped 100 yards in two straight. His value is holding steady in his first year with the Jets, and he is a strong WR2 at FantasyScore.

|Jets | Brandon Marshall hits century mark|
Mon, 21 Sep 2015 21:47:17 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Marshall ($6,300, 12.6% of cap) had a strong night, especially once Vontae Davis left the game due to injury. Marshall didn't excite many fantasy owners heading into draft day, but he has scored twice in two games and is a strong FantasyScore play heading into Week 3.

|Jets | Brandon Marshall has tough matchup|
Mon, 21 Sep 2015 11:40:29 -0700
New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall will likely be pitted against Indianapolis Colts CB Vontae Davis in the Week 2 matchup Monday, Sept. 21. However, CBs Greg Toler and Darius Butler are both out with injuries, which could lead WR Eric Decker to a big game. Decker played plenty in the slot in Week 1.
Fantasy Tip: Despite the tough matchup, Marshall ($6,300, 12.6% of cap) remains a starting option in most fantasy formats, but you might've decided to fade him at FantasyScore for good reason. Decker ($5,000, 10.0% of cap) becomes a sneaky daily pick with most of the attention directed toward stopping Marshall tonight.

|Jets | Ryan Fitzpatrick testing receivers|
Fri, 18 Sep 2015 15:03:58 -0700
New York Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick has been texting WRs Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker with short video clips that cover a wide variety of plays that Fitzpatrick feels could be useful any week. Fitzpatrick hopes the drill will give the team an edge on game day and help the quarterback gain chemistry with his receivers. The texting also gives the trio a head start for game planning for the next week, and Fitzpatrick has an idea of his receivers' route preferences against specific defensive coverages that a particular opponent has shown before.
Fantasy Tip: Fitzpatrick ($5,500, 11.0% of cap) doesn't stand out to fantasy owners and his physical attributes limit his upside, but he could become a worthy consideration as a sleeper pick in the right matchups if he gains trust and chemistry with both Marshall ($6,300, 12.6% of cap) and Decker ($5,000, 10.0% of cap). Fitzpatrick certainly is an upgrade over Geno Smith in terms of helping the values of Marshall and Decker.

|Jets | Brandon Marshall has history at Lucas Oil|
Fri, 18 Sep 2015 10:19:06 -0700
New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall set an NFL record by catching 21 passes with the Denver Broncos in 2009 the last time he played at Lucas Oil Stadium, the home of the Indianapolis Colts. Marshall and the Jets play the Colts in Week 2 Monday, Sept. 21.
Fantasy Tip: Marshall ($6,300, 12.6% of cap) won't come anywhere near 21 grabs in this one, and there's a good chance he'll be covered by Vontae Davis, a shut-down cornerback. That doesn't mean Marshall will be shut out necessarily, but it could be a tough matchup and it's something you should definitely factor in if you're considering spending $6,300 (12.6% of cap) on Marshall.

Fantasy Tip: Despite a less-than-ideal quarterback situation, Marshall should still make a serviceable WR2 this season.
