Seahawks | SEA playing it cautious with Brandon Marshall

Sun, 17 Jun 2018 17:19:43 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Brandon Marshall (hamstring) skipped organized team activities and the minicamp, but coach Pete Carroll indicates the team is fine with this as long as Marshall keeps recovering.

Fantasy Tip: If Marshall stays healthy heading into the season, he and Russell Wilson could develop a rapport. For now, pencil Marshall in as a decent WR2 or WR3 option.

Seahawks | Brandon Marshall being eased in

Sun, 03 Jun 2018 18:15:17 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Brandon Marshall has been seeing limited reps during OTAs but is expected to gradually increase his activity in the coming weeks.

Fantasy Tip: Marshall isn't a lock to make the roster, and even if he does, he's no more than a WR4 at this point in his career.

Seahawks | Brandon Marshall had second surgery

Wed, 30 May 2018 23:42:00 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Brandon Marshall indicated that in addition to ankle surgery, he also underwent toe surgery last year to address an injury he suffered back in 2015.

Fantasy Tip: At 34, Marshall needs all the good health he can get, so a second surgery to clean up an old injury is probably good news. He'll need to prove he can still get it done in camp and probably tops out as a No. 4 fantasy receiver.

Seahawks | Seattle signing Brandon Marshall

Tue, 29 May 2018 11:29:45 -0700

Free-agent WR Brandon Marshall (Giants) is signing a one-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks Tuesday, May 29, according to a source. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Fantasy Tip: It's a perfectly logical move by the Seahawks. They needed more depth at wide receiver and a big red-zone threat with Jimmy Graham gone. Marshall's presence does negatively impact Doug Baldwin and Tyler Lockett from a fantasy perspective, although Baldwin still merits WR1 consideration. Marshall is no more than a low-end WR3 to high-end WR4 candidate.

Giants | Brandon Marshall released

Thu, 19 Apr 2018 11:25:50 -0700

New York Giants WR Brandon Marshall is being released Thursday, April 19, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Marshall's absence paves the way for the Giants to draft a wide receiver or for guys like Cody Latimer and Roger Lewis to step up. For now, Odell Beckham Jr. and Sterling Shepard are the only fantasy relevant receivers on the Giants.
