Chad Morton (sprained ankle) is expected to return punts against the Saints. He will replace Craig Yeast, who will concentrate on kickoff returns. Starting RG Randy Thomas (sprained ankle) is not expected to play Sunday night. "In my mind, he's out. He's done," coach Herman Edwards said. J.P. Machado will replace Thomas and attempt to block Saints DT La'Roi Glover.

Hayes, as reported, was less valuable to the team because he doesn't play special teams. Woodbury made his debut on special teams last weekend. The team plans to use both Chad Morton and Craig Yeast on kick and put return teams now that Morton is healthy enough to return.

That likely leaves Craig Yeast to handle both punt and kick-return duties. "[Morton]'s not going to go," coach Herman Edwards said. Morton, WRs Wayne Chrebet (head) and Santana Moss (knee) and DL Shane Burton (calf) will not make the trip to Carolina.
