Rick Alonzo, of the Pioneer Press, reports Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress said he still believes QB Tarvaris Jackson, who was benched for the remainder of the season, has a "bright future down the road." Jackson is 0-2 as the starter for the Vikings this season.

Judd Zulgad, of the Minneapolis Star Tribune, reports Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress has not ruled out changing quarterbacks ahead of the team's Week 3 game. "I'm always looking at what's giving us the best opportunity to win," Childress said. "If it's Tarvaris, it's Tarvaris. If it's Gus Frerotte, it's Gus Frerotte. J.D. Booty, it's J.D. Booty. I know I was asked a question yesterday, is that the guy who's going to be the quarterback at the end of the week? That's something that is ongoing." The team has found the end zone just twice in two weeks with QB Tarvaris Jackson as the starter.
