McDaniels, however, has taken some of the plays that worked well for Bradford and the Rams from a year ago and incorporated them into his playbook. McDaniels noted his offensive philosophy is to use every part of the field in the passing game and he also likes to mold his schemes around individual player talent.

"When that started to slide (under Mike Shanahan) there were expectations that when we brought in the new head coach that would change immediately. When that didn't happen as fast as our fans wanted it to - we all wanted it to happen quickly - there was a lot of angst among our fans. Then you take into account the start we've had this year, with the type of loss we had with the Oakland game at home, and the fans' emotions and feelings are understandably raw in terms of their anger and disappointment. Pat understands that. Josh understands that."

And I've been through five or six already." There is also no concern of McDaniels losing the locker room. "That's ridiculous," DL Justin Bannan said. "Josh hasn't lost this team. Nobody quit. When it's 21-0 and there's only five minutes gone on the clock? You're like, 'Oh, boy.' It's not even an uphill battle at that point. It's a fight for survival."

McDaniels said he hasn't decided who his two quarterbacks would be if he goes that route. Currently, QB Kyle Orton is the starter, QB Brady Quinn is the backup and QB Tim Tebow is third string.
