Packers | Favre held out of 100-yard sprints

Sat, 29 Jul 2006 01:27:42 -0700

Bob McGinn, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reports Green Bay Packers QB Brett Favre was held out of a series of eight 100-yard sprints Friday, July 28. Strength coach Rock Gullickson said, "He's had some problems with his ankles and we thought, hey, what's it going to prove?" He was 219 (pounds) and looked really good. He's got that country strength from working outside a lot. For his age, absolutely he's got good strength. But he'll be a concern we'll watch real closely over the course of the season."
