Nick Eatman, of DallasCowboys.com, reports Dallas Cowboys rookie WR Skyler Green has shown surprisingly good hands after just two practice sessions. He has made several catches even though he's had to go high into the air and then land awkwardly. He also did a fine job catching punts during the afternoon special teams session, none of which escaped receivers coach Todd Haley, who told Green during practice, "You've already gotten so much better, Skyler."

He will earn base salaries of $275,000 (2006), $360,000 (2007), $445,000 (2008) and $530,000 (2009). He received a $402,000 signing bonus. He is expected to make an immediate impact on special teams as a kick and punt returner.

He asked Green about his impressions of WR Terrell Owens and Green replied: "T.O. being there is not as bad as people think. He's helped me out tremendously since I've been there. He's helped me with route running and techniques. He's on me about dropping balls and always telling me, 'Get your head in the practice.' That's what kind of player he is. He's a great football player, a great athlete and he's a great person."

Right after the Cowboys drafted Green, Cowboys scouting director Jeff Ireland compared him to Chiefs return whiz Dante' Hall, who ranks third in league history with 10 combined kick returns for touchdowns.

Parcells said QB Drew Bledsoe could outrun the former LSU receiver because the rookie has poor stamina. At the May rookie camp Parcells said Green was overweight.
