Orlando Ledbetter, of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, reports Atlanta Falcons WR Brian Finneran (knee) suffered another knee injury Week 14 and will be placed on Injured Reserve. The injury is not considered career-threatening and should heal without surgery, according to head coach Mike Smith. WR Troy Bergeron, currently on the practice squad, will likely take Finneran's place on the roster.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports the Atlanta Falcons are expected to sign undrafted rookie free agent WR Troy Bergeron (Middle Tennessee State), but he is unable to sign until Thursday, May 4. There is a 72-hour moratorium on AFL players whose owners also own NFL teams. Flacons owner Arthur Blank also owns the Georgia Force, where Bergeron was one of the top players for the 2005 season.

Bergeron (6-1 1/8, 197) was clocked at 4.48 and 4.49 in the 40. He had a 33-inch vertical jump, a 9-foot-9 long jump, a 4.35 short shuttle and a 7.25 three-cone drill.
