Bears | Michael Bush fully healed

Fri, 05 Jul 2013 09:49:32 -0700

Chicago Bears RB Michael Bush (shoulder, rib) is fully healed from both rib and shoulder injuries he dealt with last season. His role in the team's offense is undefined this offseason under new offensive coordinator Marc Trestman.

Fantasy Tip: Bush's value last year rested on the laurels of goal-line touches and as the handcuff to Matt Forte. It's unclear if Bush will be the team's go-to goal-line back again, but he'll still be a handcuff option to Forte in deeper leagues.

Bears | Matt Forte never returned from ankle injury

Thu, 13 Sep 2012 21:01:00 -0700

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte (ankle) never returned to the team's Week 2 game against the Green Bay Packers due to an ankle injury. He went into the locker room for X-rays during the game and didn't return. He finished the game with seven rushing attempts for 31 yards and had a team-high four receptions for 49 yards during the game before his departure. Michael Bush replaced him the rest of the game. Forte's status for Week 3 is unknown at this time.

Fantasy Tip: This situation will have to be watched closely, but Forte has a little extra time to heal before the team's next game. If he cannot play, Bush would serve as the team's No. 1 back and see an increased role along with a higher fantasy value. Stay tuned.

Raiders | Could Michael Bush return?

Wed, 21 Mar 2012 09:37:39 -0700

The potential of free-agent RB Michael Bush returning to the Oakland Raiders seems more and more plausible. He has said he enjoys playing for the Raiders on more than one occasion, but he wanted to test the open market to see if he could be a lead back somewhere.

The market for veteran free-agent running backs has been lukewarm; Bush met with the Chicago Bears and Cincinnati Bengals while the Seattle Seahawks and New York Jets reportedly have interest in him, too. There is a chance Bush could return to Oakland if he cannot land a starting job with another team.
