Thu, 28 Jan 2010 19:26:17 -0800 Pete Dougherty, of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, reports Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy has altered the duties of several assistant coaches, but he will not make any changes in his coaching personnel. Strength and conditioning coaches Mark Lovat and Dave Redding will switch positions, with Lovat becoming the coordinator and Redding his assistant. Special teams assistant Curtis Fuller will move to a coaching and administrative position where he will primarily work with the defense. Coaching administrator Chad Morton will become the assistant special teams coach.

The source said Morton would keep his job as the team's punt returner. Morton is 27th in the NFL with a kick return average of 21.4 yards. The team hasn't been getting Morton enough help from his blocker, but he has often juked too much instead of getting upfield quickly

Sat, 08 Jul 2006 06:51:09 -0700 Dave McKibben, of the Los Angeles Times, reports New York Giants RB/KR/PR Chad Morton has alleged in a lawsuit that his former sports agent, Leigh Steinberg, and an associate defaulted on a series of loans totaling $336,000. He alleged in a suit filed in Orange County Superior Court last week that Steinberg and David Kim promised several times over three years to pay him back but did not. Steinberg said he was a minority partner in SLL Enterprises, a company run by Kim, and was initially unaware that Morton had loaned SLL money. Kim agreed that Steinberg knew nothing about the loans and said he intended to repay Morton.
