Seattle Seahawks QB Tarvaris Jackson (pectoral) will take the majority of first-team repetitions at quarterback over QB Charlie Whitehurst in practice Wednesday, Nov. 2. "He'll still be on the injury list all week," head coach Pete Carroll said. "He's got to make it through the week, but it's much more encouraging at this time than it was at any of the last couple weeks. So that's a good deal."

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said Sunday, Oct. 30, that he was hopeful of resting QB Tarvaris Jackson (pectoral) for one more week, but he was thrust into action with QB Charlie Whitehurst ineffective to start the Week 8 game. "I was hoping to see that we could rest (Tarvaris) for another week," Carroll said. "I was hoping to do that." Jackson ended up coming on after two drives by Whitehurst and throwing for a career-high 323 yards off the bench.

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday, Oct. 26, that the decision on the starting quarterback between QBs Tarvaris Jackson (pectoral) and Charlie Whitehurst might be a game-time decision. "We just need to steal as much time as we can before we extend him, so that's how we'll go about it," Carroll said. "(Jackson) will be ready to go in terms of playing the mental side of it by the end of this week. We just need to see physically if he can handle it."
