Cardinals | Levi Brown might be brought back

Tue, 14 Feb 2012 21:42:47 -0800

The salary cap figure for Arizona Cardinals OT Levi J. Brown is due to increase from $9.4 million to $16.9 million in 2012, the final year of his rookie contract. Though he showed improvement in the second half of the 2011 season, the team might be inclined to let him go and gamble that they can find a suitable replacement. The team might have to draft a replacement, as there aren't many optioned available in this year's free-agent class. If the team brings him back, they might try to re-sign him at a reasonable number, although it's uncertain if Brown would be open to that and if he is willing to return to the team.
