Brad Biggs, of The Chicago Sun-Times, reports Chicago Bears second-year WR Earl Bennett is working with WR Devin Hester as the team's starting receivers during minicamp. Bennett said he had perfect timing with QB Kyle Orton during practice Tuesday, March 17. He noted he feels like he improved a lot from his first year and is doing much better getting out of his routes. "I know [a starting job] is not going to be given to me, so I have to work hard and be consistent every day," Bennett said.

Fred Mitchell, of the Chicago Tribune, reports Chicago Bears WR Devin Hester feels he will enter next season as the No. 1 wideout. "From what I heard, I am the guy," Hester said. "If you take a look at the season, it started out a little shaky. But if you take a look at the last four or five games (20 catches, 290 yards, one TD) … I feel like I have been very consistent with the way I have been playing. I made plays throughout the last four or five games. I felt more relaxed, more comfortable and more confident in what I know as far as the play calling and stuff."
