The New York Jets could be an option to try to sign impending free-agent QB Brady Quinn (Chiefs). Quinn and quarterbacks coach David Lee have a strong relationship after Lee has tutored Quinn in recent years. "I'm going to tell you this right now: Brady Quinn has a stronger arm than both the Manning brothers," Lee told the Denver Post in 2011. "No question. I worked them all out." Lee reportedly spoke highly of Quinn during his interview with the Jets.

Updating a previous item, Kansas City Chiefs QB Brady Quinn appears to be in line to start against the Denver Broncos in Week 12 after QB Matt Cassel was benched in the team's Week 11 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. "I wanted to start Cassel, so I started Cassel," head coach Romeo Crennel said. "When I felt like I needed to make a change, I made the change to Quinn. So Quinn got into the game in the second half and then after this, I will evaluate it and I will let you know what I am going to do next week."

Kansas City Chiefs QB Matt Cassel's time as the team's starting quarterback appears to be over after he was pulled in favor of QB Brady Quinn in Week 11. While head coach Romeo Crennel didn't make a decision publicly, Cassel indicated he knew which way his coach would go. But he wouldn't speculate on what his second benching of the season would mean for his future in Kansas City. "I'm not going to go into that right now," Cassel said. "I don't know what my future holds, but I'm going to continue to be the same guy. I'm going to continue to work hard and do whatever I can to help this team win. It's a tough situation. Anytime you're the quarterback. There is a lot of weight put on you whether it goes good or whether it goes bad."

"I talked to him this morning, talked about his situation, and he told me what the doctor had advised," head coach Romeo Crennel said. "So we're going to err on the side of caution and protect the football player, so that's what it is."

Fantasy Tip: Matt Cassel can be dropped in the majority of leagues, but Quinn could easily disappoint enough to warrant a switch back to Cassel at some point. This could be bad news for Dwayne Bowe and the rest of the KC receiving unit, but keep an eye on some trends that may develop with Quinn under center and not looking over his shoulder over the next couple of weeks.

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel said he is hoping to avoid a quarterback controversy between QBs Matt Cassel and Brady Quinn because he knows how destructive that can be to a team. "It is distracting," Crennel said. "Everybody's wondering who the guy's going to be, and all those kind of things. Then what happens, some guys on the team kind of favor one guy over another guy. Even though everybody's got a job to do and they will do their job. But it is a distraction."
