Jaguars | UDFA W. Hall close to signing

The Daily News Journal reports the Jacksonville Jaguars are close to agreeing to terms with undrafted rookie free agent OT Willie Hall (Middle Tennessee State) on an undisclosed contract.

Gil Brandt, of NFL.com, reports Middle Tennessee State OT Willie Hall measured a height of 6-5 3/8 and a weight of 300 pounds. He ran the 40-yard dash with a time of 5.31 seconds with an 8 m.p.h. wind and a time of 5.35 seconds against an 8 m.p.h. wind. He finished the short shuttle in 4.95 seconds and the three-cone drill in 8.55 seconds. He measured a 23 1/2-inch vertical jump and an 8-foot-8 broad jump while completing 20 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press.

NCAA | MTSU's Hall declares for NFL Draft

Adam Sparks, of the Daily News Journal, reports Middle Tennessee State University OT Willie Hall has declared himself eligible for the 2006 NFL Draft. He made his decision and hired an agent before new head football coach Rick Stockstill was hired this week.Previous MTSU offensive line coach Scott Fountain said Hall chose professional prospects over dealing with the transition of a new coaching staff. Some NFL scouts have contacted MTSU, projecting Hall as a first-day pick, but Fountain is not so optimistic about Hall's status.
