The Buffalo Bills are moving DL Mario Williams to left defensive end at his request. Williams told the team he is more comfortable on the left than on the right, where he played with the Houston Texans. The move will enable the Bills to put their speed rushers on the right side. DL Mark Anderson and LB Shawne Merriman will compete for time at right end.

Buffalo Bills DL Chris Kelsay will not give up his No. 90 jersey to make way for DL Mario Williams. Williams will be assigned another number shortly. "I spoke with Mario. I actually brought it up to him, he didn't bring it up to me. He completely understood," Kelsay said. "I've worn it my entire career here. A lot of times in a situation like this, the guy will buy it from you. But I'm not really interested in that."

Buffalo Bills DL Mario Williams (chest) said Tuesday, April 24, that he is fully recovered from a torn chest muscle which limited him to five games last season with the Houston Texans. "I've been away from football for a while, too," Williams said. "I'm extremely anxious to get out there."

Buffalo Bills DE Mario Williams will receive a base salary of $5.9 million in 2012, which will be fully guaranteed. He will make $6.5 million in 2013 and it will be guaranteed if the team picks up his $8 million roster bonus. He is scheduled to make a $1.9 million base salary in 2014 as well as a $10.6 million roster bonus. He will receive a $12.1 million base salary and a $1 million roster bonus in 2015. In 2016, he will receive an $11.5 million base salary and a $2.5 million roster bonus. He also scheduled to receive a base salary of $14 million in 2017. Williams received a $19 million signing bonus and will receive $2.1 million in workout bonuses.
