Updating previous reports, the New York Times reports New York Jets OT Jumbo Elliott is set to testify before a Nassau County grand jury Wednesday about his role in an incident with a limo driver last December. Elliott’s testimony is likely to conclude evidence heard by the grand jury, although the driver, Donald Matinsky, might testify again. The grand jury will then decide whether the case should go to trial and whether Elliott will face charges, most likely a misdemeanor.

Updating previous reports, the New York Daily News reports four New York Jets players testified Monday before a Nassau County grand jury in the case of Jets OT Jumbo Elliott. While the district attorney’s office hasn’t revealed the names of the players, sources have confirmed that they are: Jason Fabini, Dennis O’Sullivan, Todd Husak, and former Jets player Matt Knutson, who is now with the New England Patriots. Three other players – Jonathan Goodwin, Chris Smith, and Elliott himself – will also be required to testify. The grand jury is expected to decide next week if charges will be filed.

Updating previous reports, the New York Times reports a Nassau County grand jury will convene on or about Feb. 10 to evaluate the case of New York Jets OT Jumbo Elliott. The jury will evaluate allegations that Elliott pushed a limo driver to the ground in December. Frank J. Laine, the lawyer who is representing the limo driver, Donald Matinsky, said four or five Jets players would be subpoenaed.

"He (the player) was drinking," said the person with knowledge of the incident. "We'll just see what happens."
