NFL | Hicks works out at Pro Day

Gil Brandt, of NFL.com, reports Texas Tech WR Jarrett Hicks measured a height of 6-foot-2 3/4 and a weight of 211 pounds at his Pro Day. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.64 seconds against the wind and 4.61 seconds with the wind. He also ran the short shuttle in 4.43 seconds and the three-cone drill in 6.83 seconds.

The Daily Toreador reports Texas Tech junior WR Jarrett Hicks will return to school for his senior season and not leave for the 2006 NFL Draft. "I think you guys made it more than it was," he said. "I'm looking forward to next season. I'm not going anywhere."

NCAA | Hicks will decide his NFL status after the Cotton Bowl

Keith Whitmire, of the Dallas Morning News, reports Texas Tech junior WR Jarrett Hicks will wait until after the team's Cotton Bowl game to decide whether to enter the 2006 NFL Draft. Hicks led the Big 12 with an average of 6.2 receptions per game and caught nine touchdown passes. "Right now I'm trying to focus on the game, and after that I'll talk to my parents and we'll make a decision," Hicks said.

Troy Phillips, of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, reports Texas Tech WR Jarrett Hicks "can't rule out the possibility" of entering the 2006 NFL Draft. Hicks said, "I can't rule out the possibility of leaving. Anything about the draft or me leaving I'll discuss with my family after the bowl game. My personal deal is on the backburner for a little bit."
